Reunited STAMPEDE Schedules First Shows In 26 Years
May 1, 2009The newly reformed '80s cult hard rock outfit STAMPEDE will kick off its 2009 reunion by taking to the stage at Classic Rock's "Krusher" club night at The Embassy Club in London, England on May 25. This will be the first time the band has played to a live audience in 26 years.
The announcement comes as STAMPEDE is in the process of writing its brand new album, which is due to be recorded in June this year. Frontman Reuben Archer has revealed that the audience at the Embassy will not only witness their first performance in over two decades, but will also be the first to hear some of the new material from the impending LP interspersed with old favorites from the "Hurricane Town" and live "Official Bootleg" releases. He says of the gig, It's a double whammy for us and we can't wait to get back out there and let the energy out of the rehearsal room and onto the stage!"
STAMPEDE's reunion lineup consists of original founding members Reuben Archer (vocals),Laurence Archer (guitar) and Colin Bond (bass). Original drummer Eddie Parsons is replaced by Clive Edwards, formerly of PAT TRAVERS, UFO and WILD HORSES.
